Give Your Delegates' Visit to Your Country a Trip to Remembe

The cities of Melbourne and Brisbane in Australia are plentifully supplied with race meetings and race courses.

Horse racing enthusiasts visiting Australia either on business or on holiday can take advantage of regular racing programmes in both cities. The race tracks also make excellent venues for corporate hospitality events for companies wanting to entertain and impress their clients.

Melbourne, in Victoria, is home to the most famous Australian annual race, the Melbourne cup, however the city actually has three racecourses, Caulfield, Sandown and Moonee Valley.

Caulfield Racecourse is perhaps the best-known track, known to locals as the "The Heath". It has a triangular track including three straights and a total circumference of 2080 metres with a finishing straight of 367 metres. Races are all run anticlockwise throughout Victoria.

Sandown was built for the Victoria Amateur Turf Club and is the only metropolitan racecourse built in the 20th century. It was opened in June 1965. The Moonee Valley racecourse on McPherson Street, is home to the Moonee Valley Racing Club.

Within easy reach of Melbourne is the Great Ocean Road with its vast and spectacular landscape of the Australian South Coast. Also just near to Melbourne are stunning vineyards throughout the Yarra Valley, Healesville and Coldstream.

Brisbane, capital of Queensland, boasts two courses, Doomben and Eagle Farm, both run by the Brisbane Racing Club, which was formed in July 2009 as the result of a merger between Queensland Turf Club and Brisbane Turf Club.

Within reach of Brisbane are miles of wonderful coastline. The Sunshine coast north of Brisbane and the Gold Coast to its South, are popular with visitors from both within Australia and overseas. There is everything from beachside locations and surfing to mountain villages including Maleny and Montville in the Noosa Hinterland and Blackall Ranges.

The area is also home to several theme parks, including Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, the Buderim Ginger Factory and the Big Pineapple. Organisations can take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their cities to visiting guests with coach charter to Gold Coast, or charter bus hire in Brisbane.

Bus hire in Melbourne will make it easy to arrange airport pick-ups and drops for delegates to conferences and exhibitions and for entertaining them and showing them the sights around the city.

Perhaps a corporate day at the races will help seal the deal or negotiations or for relaxation after the hard bargaining why not arrange some relaxation and time to get to know each other better while exploring some of the scenery along the Great Ocean Road.
